Wednesday is an American coming-of-age horror-comedy television series with supernatural elements centered on the character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. Alfred Goff and Miles Millar acted as creators of the TV series. Starring Jenna Ortega, the series also stars Gwendoline Christie, Ricky Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Duane, Percy Hines White, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa and Christina Ricci. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman and Isaac Ordonez appeared in episodic roles. Four of the eight episodes were directed by Tim Burton, who also serves as an executive producer. The TV series premiered on November 23, 2022, on the Netflix platform. The TV series presents a detective story full of supernatural powers. The main character is Wednesday, one of the members of the Addams family, the only daughter of Gomez and Mortisha Addams, who becomes a student at the Nevermore Academy. He tries to control his psychic abilities, stop the murders of a monster terrorizing the local town of Jericho, and uncover the secret that involved his parents 25 years ago, all while juggling his new and complicated relationship at the academy.
